A gorgeous example of TARAVANA by Nivada-Grenchen, this particular piece is in exquisite condition throughout. The T-Dial is mint. The Valjoux Cal. 7734 movement has been fully serviced  and it is in a wonderful condition both working-wise and condition-wise. The solid and heavy golden plated stainless steel case and case back are in fine condition with nothing serious to report apart maybe from a  'thinning' of the plating on the down pusher.

The "Taravana Syndrome" is a form of decompression sickness that is most frequently seen in pearl divers in Japan and the Polynesian islands. These skin divers acquire their pearls by making breath-holding dives down to depths as great as 50m. The major symptoms of the syndrome range from pain in the joints to paralysis-if the central nervous system is affected.
